Plasma jet challenge - Nitric oxide results week 3

If you have been following the plasma jet challenge you should know that the initial weigh in was 120 pounds. After just one week we were able to put on 8 pounds of lean mass. Week two, we added another 6 pounds. A total of 14 pounds within just two weeks.Check out week three.
Recap:
Incredible, another 5 pounds. Continuing the same diet as week 1. We have one more week left and then after that, we will come back in a few weeks to see how much of these gains actually stay. My guess? Close to all of them, but do not take my worked for it, stay tuned and find out for yourself.

UFC 92 The Ultimate 2008 Winners


As you may all know by now, i am a huge mma/ufc fan. With that being said i figured i would give you all the play by play tonight during this great pay per view event. This is definitely the best fight card for a ufc event ever. As you may know, i put together my predictions on this even about a month ago. Lets see how accurate i was lol.

Cheik Kongo VS Mustapha Al

Well well well, as i predicted, Cheik Kongo wins in the first round by tko (punches). Fight started off slow with Kongo being the aggressor during the whole fight until finally finishing the fight toward the end of the first.




Wanderlei Silva VS Rampage Jackson

The unexpected has happened, Rampage KO's Silva 3 minutes into the first round. The fight started off and Silva looked to be dominating but made it a bit obvious that he would leave himself open. That was exactly what happened, Silva dominating and left himself open to Rampage's left hand. Rampage Jackson wins in the first round by KO.


CB Dollaway VS Mike Massenzio

Another first round finish tonight. CB Dollaway defeats Massenzio by TKO within minutes in round one. Not a lot to say about the fight but that Massenzio looked like he had the fight in the bag for a second, he couldn't finish it and ended up getting finished.


Antonio Nogueira VS Frank Mir

History has presented itself at UFC 92, Frank Mir has become the first fighter to ever finish Nogueira. Mir started the fight dominating Nogueira in the first round, that was no surprise. What WAS a surprise was how Frank Mir KO's Nogueira in the second round. Frank Mir not only takes the belt but also goes down in history as the first person to ever finish Nogueira.


Rashad Evans VS Forrest Griffin

A phenomenal fight, Both fighters gave a hell of a performance. If i could score the fight i would say round 1 to Evans, 2 to Griffin. But by round three it was a done deal when Evans took over and finished the fight by KO. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a new light heavyweight champion by the name of Rashad Evans. Congratulations to Rashad.

Plasma jet challenge - Nitric oxide results week 2

So if you have been following the "Plasma Jet Challenge" then you saw that just after one week there was an 8 pound increase. The 8 pounds was mostly lean muscle mass. So what do we have 7 days later for week 2?

Why is your metabolism sluggish?


Eating a well balanced diet is important to our overall health. Everything that we eat gets digested and absorbed by countless organs in our body. Our digestive system is responsible for absorbing and breaking down every single thing that we consume in a given day. That is why maintaining a healthy diet is most important when it comes to health. Here are the main causes of poor digestion?


-Eating to fast
-Fluid intake with our meals
-Eating late at night


First, we are eating to fast. This leads to consuming food that is not chewed up properly and this will cause your digestive track to work a lot harder to break down the meal. I know sometimes we are in a rush and have to rush through our meals but if your concerned about your weight then I recommend putting your health first and taking that extra 5 minutes to consume the meal properly.

How to get big arms - Biceps & triceps


We all want big arms don’t we? Well for those of you out there who are having trouble getting those big arms you want, here’s a guide to help. I am going to break down three steps to take to achieving the nice size arms you are struggling to get. I’ll explain how to get the nice size with
-Compound exercises
-Exercising other muscles
-Maintaining lean

Step one
is compound exercises. Compound exercises are those that use more than one joint at time. This allows for heavy weights to be used and activates a lot of muscle fibers. This ultimately means big muscle growth. I recommend exercises like pull ups, chins ups, etc . These exercises put a lot of stress on the biceps.

Step two
is exercising other muscles. If you weigh 140 pounds you will not have 20 inch biceps. Your body naturally will not want to be out of balance. With that being said, you can not just strive to get big arms without working the rest of your body. I can not say this is a fact but for most people, it is necessary to add about 15 pounds to gain 1 inch to your bicep. So get on a workout plan that targets the entire body and also a nutrition plan to follow.

Last
, get lean. Big arms are great and all but wouldn’t you prefer big AND defined? I'm guessing yes. No matter how much muscle you have you will still need to follow the proper diet to get lean. When your on your road to gaining weight to get bigger arms, it is very important that the weight you do put on is mostly lean muscle. Try to avoid putting on unnecessary fat while gaining weight.

Remember
, your arms are muscles just like any other. Do not over train, muscles grow while you rest. Make sure you are getting the proper rest and not working arms every day to try to get them bigger faster, it will NOT work. Eating is also very important, if you are not eating and resting then results will come very slow. One more note, do not neglect the triceps. Triceps are a huge part of getting those big arms you have always wanted. A big bicep with no tricep does not equal big or defined arms.

Plasma jet challenge - Nitric oxide results week 1

So its been a week and I'm sure you are all still skeptical about the plasma jet gains. Well if you have watched the "week 1" video then you can see for yourself that this stuff is real and really does work. 8 pounds in one week equals out to a little over a pound a day. Here is a list of the workout plan and diet that aided in these gains.
Most importantly is the diet. The subject was on a high calorie and protein diet.
Eating about 6 meals a day that consisted of things like peanut butter, egg whites, wheat pasta, turkey meat, chicken breast ,brown rice and lots of water.
Lifting weights about 4-5 days a week and including lots of big workouts such as:

The Ultimate Fighter 8 Finale Winners


Tonight we get to crown the next ultimate fighters. I have been following the ultimate fighter show all season long and i must say, there are some great fighters this season. The reason for this post is just to keep anyone who is not able to watch tonight updated. As the fights go on i will be giving somewhat of a play by play.


Junie Browning VS David Kaplan
The first fight of the night, Junie Browning v.s. David Kaplan. We saw Junie Browning get destroyed by Effrain in the semi-finals but he has been training at Xtreme Couture and has improved his fight game drastically. David Kaplan came a little sloppy and it was just a matter of time before Browning to finish the fight. Junie Browning wins in the second round via submission.
Eliot Marshall Vs Jules Bruchez
Eliot Marshall brought his "A" game tonight against Jules Bruchez. As soon as the bell rang, Eliot attacked with phenomenal striking for about 30 seconds to a minute before taking Bruchez down. Shortly there after, Bruchez found himself with his back to Marshall. Marshall locked in a rear naked choke and finished the fight in the first round. Congratulations to Eliot Marshall.
Jason MacDonald VS Wilson Gouveia
Another quick fight tonight. Fight starts off with a great exchange of hands, Gouveia lands a heavy punch and rocks MacDonald. Gouveia immediately follows MacDonalds to the ground and overwhelms him with a furry of elbows. Shortly after getting his head busted open, Macdonald taps out on the ground during the rush of strikes and elbows. Your winner, Wilson Gouveia.
Kevin Burns Vs Anthony Johnson
If you remember the last time these two met in the octagon, then you remember the infamous thumb to the eye from Burns to Johnson that caused a stop to the fight. Both men are here tonight to prove who is the better fighter. The fight started off great by both fighters, with a constant exchange of strikes and kicks throughout the entire fight. Till the third round that is, both men started the round as the first two but seconds into the round Johnson lands a huge head kick. Anthony Johnson wins by knockout in the third round.
Ryan Bader VS Vinny Magalhaes
The light heavyweight match that will crown "the ultimate fighter" of that weight class. Ok, first round, Vinny looking a lot better on his stand up but stood no chance against Bader. Minutes into the first round Bader lands a huge punch and KO's Vinny. Congrats to the Bader for the great win and taking the title of "the ultimate fighter".
Phillipe Nover VS Efrain Escudero
The lightweight match that will crown "the ultimate fighter" of that weight class. Escudero starts off the first two rounds just man handling Nover. Escudero definitely the underdog and he is just proving a lot of people wrong. By the third round, Escudero has been dominating. If Nover does not seal the deal in round 3, Escudero will take the win. With seconds left in the third, Nover is inches away from submitting Escudero but Escudero escapes. This fight goes to decision. The winner and "the ultimate fighter" in the lightweight division, Efrain Escudero.

Best leg , thigh , and bun workout

Ok, so recently i have been getting a lot of questions from females wanting to know the best exercises to do from home to shape the thighs, legs, and buns. About a week or so ago i put up a post explaining all the workouts that could be done to shape the thighs and buns. What i didn't mention was the good ones that could be done from home with no gym equipment.
Best thigh and bun workout
According to fitness professional Violet Zaki, the squat is the best thigh and bun shaper/toner. The squats not only work your quads but also your adductors, hamstrings, and gloots. Here is a simple instructional video on how the squat should be performed in order to get the best results. I know your thinking that there can not possibly be a wrong way to squat but in fact many people completely ignore form and end up with little or no results or maybe even injuries. I would have to agree with Violet on this one, i am yet to see a better and more simple workout for your thighs and buns.
How much should i be doing this?
I would recommend doing squats about 2-3 days a week. You don't want to overdue it because just like any other muscle, the quads and gloots need rest. I would say include squats on the days you are working legs. Do 4 sets and as far as reps go, i would do 10-20 for the first 3 sets and go to failure on the last set. You should start seeing great results within the first couple of weeks. Stay tuned for some more weight lifting tips.

How to shape your thighs and buns



The butt and the thighs are often problematic areas especially for non-committed individuals who don't normally workout. Women, especially, are judged by the shape curves of their thighs as well as the shape and the general form of their butts. It might not be a fair world, but we don't have to be depressed about our thighs and our butts.

If some of us have unshapely butts and sagging thighs, rest easy knowing that there are some sure-fire ways to sculpt those areas through the implementation of a relatively easy and simple exercise routine.



The exercises

1. Squats are relatively easy to do, and they target the thighs specifically. What you have to do is to simply stand in one place and place your feet in such a way that they are aligned with your shoulders. Get a barbell (any weight will do) and place the barbell on your shoulder. Slowly lower your body, allowing your thighs to take the weight of the body plus the barbell, and slowly move up again. Remember not to allow your knees to click or lock when you do the movements. Repeat 12 times.

2. If you have access to a leg press machine, then you can try the leg press routine. Get on the leg press machine and secure the weights (the leg press load) and slowly move upward until your legs are completely parallel to the resting plane. Then slowly lower your legs in such a way that a 90 degree angle or a right angle is achieved. Remember to do it slowly so that you would feel a strain or a pull on your thigh muscles. Repeat 8-15 times.

3. Dead lifting may also be employed to exercise the back part of the body, including your back, your butt, and parts of your leg muscles. With two dumb bells or a barbell, slowly lean forward until your back takes on the full weight of what you are carrying in your hands. When you feel that the hamstrings have been fully activated, slowly go back to the starting position and breathe deeply. Repeat 20 times.

4. Lunges are difficult at first but is actually a form of aerobic exercise that allows for wonderful stimulation of the cardiovascular system as well. Lunges are more effective when you have weights, so get two dumb bells and begin the exercise. Lunge forward with one foot, making sure that the weight is balanced between the two arms. Then slowly go back to the starting position. Do the same with the other leg as well. Repeat around 10 to 12 times.

5. Leg curls on the other hand, target both the thighs and the butt. With a leg curl machine, lie down flat and hook the weights with your two legs. Slowly move your legs upward, until your legs reach a 90 degree angle, complementary to the vertical plane that is the flat rest. Slowly bring it down again. Repeat the movements for about 12 to 15 times.

6. Leg extension is done with the leg curl machine as well. This time, sit up straight and hook the weights with both legs, knees facing the front. Move your legs upward, and slowly bring them down again. Repeat the movements for about 12 to 15 times as well.

Plasma jet challenge - Nitric oxide results Intro

So as you know we have been talking about how great plasma jet is for a while. I know a lot of people have been sceptical since all we have provided has been before and after pictures followed by written reviews.So here's what we decided to do, we purchased plasma jet and we picked out one of our buddies to take it. I recently came across this clip and thought it was a great instructional video showing how to build your forearms. In my years of weight training i have seen tons of people neglecting the forearms, mainly i believe it is because they don't really understand the importance of having strong forearms. The fact is, having strong forearms will actually help you in other workouts. Having strong forearms will allow you to hold heavier weights for a longer amount of time ultimately helping with muscle gains.
